Prayer to St. Joseph
Remember, O most illustrious Patriarch Saint Joseph, on the testimony of Saint Teresa, your devoted servant, never has it been heard that anyone who has invoked your protection or sought your mediation has not obtained relief.
In this confidence I come before you, my loving protector, chaste Spouse of Mary, foster father of the Saviour of men and dispenser of the treasures of His Sacred Heart.
Despise not my earnest prayer, but graciously hear and obtain my petition.
Let us pray:
O God, who by your ineffable Providence chose blessed Joseph for the spouse of your most holy mother; grant that he whom we venerate as our protector on earth may be our intercessor in heaven.
Amen.
Novena to Our Lady of Perpetual Help
See at your feet, O Mother of Perpetual Help, a poor sinner who has recourse to you and confides in you. O Mother of Mercy, have pity on me! I hear you called the refuge and the hope of sinners; be my refuge and my hope.
Help me, for the love of Jesus Christ; stretch forth your hand to a poor fallen sinner. I devote myself to your devotion and ask that you remember my needs (here make your request).
I bless and thank Almighty God, who in His mercy has given me the grace to seek eternal salvation in your holy name.
Mother of Perpetual Help, grant that we may be delivered through the hep f your intercession, from the slavery of all our sins.
Amen.
Prayer for Life
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God and Son of Mary, we praise and thank You for the precious gift of life, Divine Life and human life.
We commit ourselves to adoring and proclaiming Your Personal Presence in the Most Holy Eucharist, for in You alone is the victory of life.
We dedicate our lives to protecting and defending all human life; the unborn babies, the sick, the elderly, the poor, and all victims of violence.
We implore Your Love and Mercy upon the whole world, for You are the true source of all peace and all hope.
Amen.
A Collection of Catholic Prayers
In September of 1999, Father James Kruse compiled a printed booklet for our parishioners titled "A Collection of Catholic Prayers." It is a treasure chest of more than 80 prayers, psalms, canticles and meditations that have special relevance to today's Catholics.
Printed copies of this collection can be found in the back of the church. We are also in the process of converting the text to an electronic version which you will be able to download to your own computer and print at your leisure.
Once the transfer to electronic form is complete, we'll provide a link on this page so you can download the electronic version of the booklet.
